Hunt Story

Got to the stand a little late around 4:15 p.m. as we had just arrived from 2-hour trip from home the day after Thanksgiving. I had only been in the stand 20 minutes or so when several does appeared. About 15 minutes later a small buck appeared and ran all the does out of the food plot. After the small buck did a little scent checking, all of a sudden he raised his head up and began looking down through the woods. I knew it had to be another deer. I started glassing in the area he was looking when this deer that appeared, and I immediately recognized him as a deer we have been watching for several years. I raised my Ruger .308 Rifle and as soon as I was presented a clear broadside shot, I took it, and he bucked up on his back legs and fell to the ground.
