Hunt Story
We had been trying the whole week of Thanksgiving to get Charlie his second buck while we were all out of school. Since he had already killed a nice one this year, I decided it would be good for him to shoot one that we’d like to take off that might not be the biggest rack. He was going to shoot an old 6-point or a 4-point that we thought would be good to be taken off the place. Anyway, we watched him run around with the other deer that we were watching, and finally he got still enough for Charlie to get a shot off. We knew he hit him, but it was hard to tell where. We watched the video countless times, and still couldn't tell how good or bad the shot was. We decided to let him lay overnight, and I looked all over the next morning. Finally, we called Scott Lopez and his dogs, and they came out 20 hours later and found him 164 yards from where he shot him at. Awesome day for our family. Charlie is 8 years old and is tagged out on bucks for the year in his first year hunting.
