Hunt Story
I made it home from school in time to be able to hunt a few hours before dark. My dad wasn't able to go with me this afternoon, but I talked him into letting me hunt by myself for the first time. He dropped me off at my stand across the road from our house and went back home to finish some work. I used a doe bleat can and a grunt call a couple times that afternoon. I repeated the doe bleat and grunt call sequence about 7:00, and at 7:02 the buck came trotting down the woods road, straight to me. I made the 30-yard shot and immediately called Daddy to tell him about the huge buck I just shot. We tracked him about 40 yards before finding him.
