Hunt Story
I was in the stand with my grandfather overlooking a field we planted Rape in. It was almost sunset, and I had let four smaller bucks walk. The next one that came out was a decent deer with a spread outside the ears. My grandfather told me to be patient and wait on a big one. I didn't want to, but I did...and I'm glad I did!! This deer came from behind into the field. When we saw him, we knew it was the deer my mom had named "funky rack". My mom has been watching this deer on the trail camera for the past 3 years. Last year, she found the shed from the left side. I let him get into a good position to make a good shot. I fired, hit him and watched him run across the field into the woods. We got down out of the stand to track him and found him immediately. This is by far the biggest deer I've ever seen!
