Hunt Story
Shot my biggest bow buck to date opening evening, had an awesome sit, seeing 4 different bucks, shooting my #1 target buck! I had a 120+/-“ 3 1/2 year old wide 9-point come in circling behind me from my left bristled up and snort wheezing and licking his lip.I couldn’t figure out why at first but then I looked further behind my tree and my target buck had came from my right circling behind me as well. Both got to within 10 yards from my tree. I just couldn’t get a shot as it was thick behind me. I finally had a basketball-size hole around 40ish yards and decided that last second to send it. That Rage put him down! Roughed scored him at 147” using a metal tape and string, I will have him re scored l again just to confirm the first score. This particular property has yielded a 163 5/8’ with my rifle and a 130” bow buck for me in the past. Haven’t taken a deer if this property since 2019. I let this deer walk last year as a mainframe 10 with somewhere around 115-120” of horn, I Found his shed from last year this past week, he grew well over 25 inches this season!! Great Ga deer for sure!!
