Hunt Story
I was sitting on a stump up on a hill overlooking 20 acres of clear cut and thinned property. About 30 minutes after the sun came up this buck came walking in at around 200 yards. As I was watching him slowly make his way through the clear cut area, a smaller 6 point came in from the opposite side of the area. I watched as they met up in the middle of the clear cut, sniffed each other a little and then started fighting each other. They continued to fight on and off for about 10 minutes which gave me time to get set up for my shot. Once I was ready I waited for them to stop fighting, the smaller buck made he way off where he came from and I was able to put a great shot on this buck, dropping him at around 140 yards. A great way to start the new year!
