Hunt Story
I was covered up with deer after heavy rainfall during the day, had does and fawns feeding and a young 8-point and small bucks aggravating does and fighting most of the evening. At 7 o’clock I seen two big bucks headed to the field through the planted pines. When he stepped into the field I was waiting for a broadside shot at 35 yards when the neighbors started calling their cows and he spooked, running to 45 yards roughly. I shot him there and hit him high cutting his backbone. Recovered the following day 300 yards away.
