Hunt Story

I’ve had trail-cam pictures of this deer everyday since July 26, 2019. I knew he really liked coming in in the afternoons after 12:00p.m. So that morning me and my son went dove hunting. About 10:00a.m. we left the dove field, and we went home so I could get cleaned up and head out after him. I got in the stand around 12:30 p.m. At 3:15 pm I looked up and laid eyes on him for the first time in person. I watched him and his running buddy for about 30 minutes before he gave me a quartering away 22 yard shot. The deer ran about 150 yards before expiring. I took 30 minutes to call my wife and buddies to let them know I had shot him, then I set out to blood trail him. The blood trail was excellent. At the end of it was my best buck to date. To say I was ecstatic is an understatement!
