Hunt Story
This was Caroline first bow hunt. She got her bow for her birthday and has been practicing for 2 months. She had intentions to shoot a doe that afternoon, about 5 p.m. a small 8-point came in browsing and eating, so she stood up in her stand and got ready in case a big doe was coming soon. The second buck was behind the first one and she was already standing, so she drew back and put the arrow right where it counts. The deer ran about 30 yards and expired. Caroline has killed several deer with a gun and loves to trophy hunt. She stated when the deer turned broadside and she saw those long tines she started shaking so hard the tree was shaking. She let the arrow fly and it hit its mark. I have never seen her so excited, I have 3 kids and all of them love to hunt, there is nothing like watching your kids take a deer and seeing them smile. They have all been in GON at different times, needless to say I have all those issues in my safe. Thank you GON. Grant Allgood
