Hunt Story

I had just left the funeral home and was a little down. I knew this was the last day of deer season and I hadn't had the chance to take my son hunting as much as usual due to football and baseball schedules. So on my way home I called Candler and asked if he wanted to go hunting behind the house for the last 45 minutes of the day. Of course he said he would be ready. I pulled in the driveway in a hurry. Changed out of suit and tie and pretty much ran to the stand. We got situated at about 10 after 5. Didn't take long and this little buck started walking our way. I couldn't believe it. It wasn't like we were quiet getting to the stand. I was just so happy that we were going to see a deer. I handed the rifle to my son and he made the shot count. Couldn't have been more proud!
