Hunt Story
Caleb and I arrived at the deer stand at 6:30 p.m. Around 7:00, a small buck came out into the clearing at about 500 yards. As we were watching him, we noticed a deer come out at about 150 yards. I could tell Caleb knew this was his deer. I told him it was a shooter deer. Caleb just nodded as he raised his gun and started to sight him in. Caleb took his shot, and I could tell he hit him hard. The buck flipped and crashed into some thick bushes. Caleb and I got out of the stand and started the search. After looking for the blood trail, darkness started to set in. I sent Caleb home and came back with his uncle and a friend. About 75 yards from where Caleb shot the deer, we found his 9-pointer. I called Caleb, and I could tell he was beaming.
