Hunt Story
On the morning of November 7, 2022 at 8:10 am I was sitting in my stand on the edge of a pasture looking over the edge of some hardwoods. I saw movement about 150 yards down the edge and reached for my binoculars to check it out. A doe came out with this buck right on her trail and it didn’t take long for me to realize he was a shooter! I grabbed my Weatherby 270 mag and steadied for the shot. Boom! The shot was good he ran 30 yards into the hardwoods and crashed I’ve been whitetail hunting since 1985 and I’ve been extremely blessed with many great deer but this deer is by far the largest buck I’ve harvested in Georgia!
