Hunt Story
This deer I have some history with. I've been watching him for 3 years and really hunting him hard this year. I had pictures of him all summer and he just kinda disappeared come September, but I kept looking for him by placing cameras in areas that I thought he may be bedding. It wasn't until about a week ago he started showing up on this one particular camera regularly, but every time it was between 1:30-2:00 a.m. I figured he would be on his feet with the cold front pushing in over the weekend and checking a couple doe. I went to go hunt Friday afternoon between breaks in the rain but couldn't get to stand because the deer were already there, so I left without being detected. I went back Saturday morning and saw lots of deer but not the one I was hunting, when I climbed down I grabbed SD card out of camera and found that the deer I was hunting showed up at 6:05 Friday afternoon. With that in mind, I went back Saturday afternoon in hopes he would do the same thing, but a little earlier. I had seen 6 different bucks and 2 does that afternoon, about 5:40, 2 bucks acted like something was coming from behind me. After a few minutes I heard it also and new it was a deer, as soon as I grabbed my bow he stepped into view, he circled around to about 30 yards and the rest is history.
