Hunt Story
Had seen four does and four small bucks heading back and forth from feeding to bedding. Hunting a sewer line looking back and forth all morning. Around 10:10 a.m., saw a shadow from the pines. He stepped out into the sewer line, which is only 10 yards wide, so I knew time was limited. Grabbed my gun, unsure of his size. Grunted with my mouth to stop him. He was at 90 yards. He stopped, looked the opposite direction. He looked mature, so after calming down from shaking (buck fever) I steadied the crosshairs behind his shoulder. He ran 50 yards before expiring.
