Hunt Story
We had been getting pics of a nice 8-pointer on my trail cam. I went into the woods around 4:25 on Sunday evening and watched several does enter and leave the food plot. Finally around 7:15 he stepped into the food plot and I got him in my scope and let the arrow fly. I could tell he was hit and waited for a while before getting out of the stand to look for a blood trail. We found the arrow and blood and tracked him 75 yards or so and jumped him. We decided to back out and let him expire. We went back around 9:00 a.m. Monday to track him. With the help of my Dad, our friend Chip Brown and his tracking dog “Gunner”, we were able to find him! I have never been as excited as I was when we found my first ever bow kill, a nice 8-pointer!
