Hunt Story

On a very hot afternoon of 81 degrees, a few does worked their way out of the timber when the trailing doe became very alert. I scanned the timber with binoculars to find a very mature deer working his way to the does with his head down picking up their scent. The mature buck then bolted after the does running them out of the timber and into the food plot. The buck then approached the food plot and began to lip curl and attempt to take off after a doe and out of the creek bottom. Just as soon as he gave me a broadside shot I took it dropping him in his tracks at about 80 yards.
