Hunt Story

Rain in the forecast most of the day, until noon. Weather was supposed to be cloudy and temperatures dropping to upper 40s by the end of the night. I went with my wife, and we saw a few does that fed on the soybeans. They did not feed long and left. A deer got spooked behind us in the woods, and we waited to see if it would enter the soybean field. After waiting a few minutes, my wife tapped my leg and pointed to the middle of the field. Somehow this buck snuck to the middle without either of us noticing, probably 110 yards from the double man stand. I put out Tinks 30 yards to the left of our stand. He was smelling and then headed in the direction of it. I pulled the rifle up fast and had to shoot almost head on. Immediately he fell into the soybeans. My wife was my good luck charm.
