Hunt Story

Bridger had asked to hunt with a friend of mine Brian (Slipcork) Sheppard. Brian has a lot of experience chasing big Washington Co. bucks and this decision was quickly rewarded. Rain had quit close to daily and Bridger and Brian sat over a foggy clearcut. Shortly after shooting light a spike made his way through the clearcut. Brian and Bridger sent out a sequence of cleats and grunts to try and stir up a known buck in the area. Just a few minutes passed and out of the fog appeared a clearly agitated 8-point headed straight for the stand. Bridger waited for a broadside shot and settled the cross hairs of his 6mm on the lungs of the buck. The buck made it 20 yards and piled up. A text was sent out to the Dad and brother who were praying and awaiting anxiously. Big buck down. The gracious land owner was even able to come by and join the celebration. This was Bridgers first trophy buck and he had alot of folks to thank including the man upstairs.
