Hunt Story
Great cool morning with the full moon. This deer was with a doe bedded down in planted pines, and they got up together. He was staying real close to her in the thicket. After watching for a few minutes, I was able to see he was a mature whitetail with full body and large neck. He presented me with a hole in the thicket, so I squeezed the trigger and he was down. Wow that's when I got real excited and was emotional like I get when taking such a magnificent animal. Very thankful to God that we can have the opportunity to hunt such a great animal. AND thank you Dad for all you do.
