Hunt Story
I was hunting in a stand in which my father had previously seen this piebald buck. I also had trail-camera pictures of him in the area of the stand over the past few months. There were six does and three small bucks in the field. This buck came into the field with a few minutes of shooting light left. I immediately recognized the buck due to the marking all over his body and because of his massive body size. I waited until he was broadside at about 150 yards, and took the shot. I hit him, but he ran toward the woods, and I was able to shoot him once again before he made it to the woods. I was very excited to recover this buck that I feel is a once in a lifetime buck due to the marking all over his body. He was a beautiful deer and will look great on the wall.
