I had been getting pics of this one for several months. He did not frequent the area. Never consecutive days and sometimes weeks in between visits. There was no pattern, and I knew he would be tough to kill. The past few weeks he would average coming by the camera 2 times per week and always in the evening. I knew my best chance was to just put time in. He no showed me 5 times, and to my surprise, on the 6th sit he followed some yearling bucks into the staging area and presented me with a 19.5-yard broadside shot at roughly 6:45 p.m. I knew the shot was good but still gave him time. He didn't make it 50 yards. Side note: Broadhead was a Swacker and it did not perform like it should have. Had the shot been less than great, it could have been a much different outcome.
