Hunt Story
I got my first glimpse of this buck on my cell cam at 7:08 p.m. the night before. It was a blurry picture of him chasing, so I knew he'd show again and was just looking for a hot doe. At 6 a.m. the next morning he gave me a great picture and confirmed I never saw him and that he was a shooter. My dad and I got in the stand at 3 p.m., slowly, as it's not easy climbing with one hand fresh out of surgery. At 4:45 p.m. I saw him walking directly to us. I signaled to my dad but he couldn't tell where I was pointing. I shot him at 50-60 yards with my new Tikka 308 and dropped him. After some air fist pumps across the powerline we got down immediately to go check him out. Great memory on a stud GA 8-point!
