Hunt Story
We got an invitation from a great friend to hunt a spot in Gwinnett County on Wednesday afternoon Nov. 11th. My 7-year-old son Brady and I got set up in a ground blind with his single shot .223 and Caldwell Deadspot FieldPod looking down in a creek bottom. This buck crossed below us cruising at 5:10, and Brady pivoted the gun around and said, "I am on him." I whistled to stop the deer, and he downed him in his tracks at about 60 yards! He said afterwards he was shaking and was glad he had his lucky Buckeye in his pocket! He killed a 10-point at age 6 and now this 8 at 7, needless to say he is off to a pretty good start! It was a hunt that I will never forget and very thankful to have this experience with my son!
