Hunt Story
It was just beginning to get dark when we heard a noise. Two does entered the clearcut followed by a huge buck! We watched as the buck chased the does out of the area, and then he returned to the road in the clearcut. The buck began walking up the road, and Bradlan put the rifle up to his shoulder and got the buck in the crosshairs. Bradlan fired and knew it was hit! Unfortunately, the buck ran off into a thick area of underbrush, and we were unable to search for him. We called in a friend who brought his dog to help search. The dog was able to get the buck's scent and located it approximately 75 yards from where Bradlan shot him.
