Hunt Story
The deer showed up on camera in late September and hung around until the 2nd week of October. Unfortunately where we were getting pictures was in an area we didn’t have an accessible way of bow hunting him. We kept a camera running throughout the season in hopes of him returning, luckily he did! He showed back up on camera the last morning of November and became extremely comfortable, most days he would make an appearance 2-3 times during day and almost never at night. We decided to park in a different spot 12/14 and walk a little further as we knew based off pictures he was bedded close. He hadn’t been out since about 1:30pm the day before so we figured he would be out early, he stepped out at 8:13am. While having a staring contest with his biggest buck, Boone was able to stay calm waiting for the buck to turn broadside. He made a perfect heart shot and we were able to find the deer about 40 yards off the lane we were hunting!
