Hunt Story
Sitting in a pop-up ground blind overlooking a flat creek bottom. Saw several deer running around in different directions as if they were being chased, then a doe finally eased her way into where we placed bait. Then had a second deer working its way in, and my husband said it was a buck and then he said it was a shooter buck and to get ready. The 9-point buck made his way up the creek bottom to within about 40 yards of us. I got him in the crosshairs and dropped him in his tracks. My husband Russell was in Week 5 with an 8-point bow kill and was in Week 6 with an 8 point he got with his muzzleloader.
