I was bowhunting a hardwood ridge that had a lot of acorns falling and the deer were tearing them up. I made myself get out of bed and hunt that morning even though it was raining pretty good. The rain slacked up about 15 minutes after I got settled into my climber, and it didn't take long to start seeing deer. At about 8:30 I noticed a doe and fawn come into the hardwoods followed by the buck. After about 20 minutes of dogging the doe around, she lead him right to me and I was able to make a 40-yard shot that dropped him in his tracks.
