Hunt Story
I have had a lot of history with this deer. I first saw him 3 seasons ago at 3.5 years of age. This year I knew he would be big enough to take. Yesterday evening I had a lot of deer feeding around me on an acorn-loaded ridge. After about 30 minutes of watching smaller bucks and does feed, he came from the opposite direction with another mature 8-pointer. I had to watch him and the other deer for about 5-10 minutes so I could draw back on him. I ended up drawing 3 times before I could get a shot off. I knew I hit him good with my Hoyt and Rage combo. He was about 30 yards out when I took the shot. He ran about 125 yards and fell over. Very blessed with this deer as it is special to be able to have a lot of history with him.
