This deer had been fairly regular on trail cameras until November 1st. He showed back up on the 14th but sporadically. The morning of the 17th I sat in a stand my cousin had just moved into a creek bottom about ten days earlier. About 7 am I was watching a young buck and doe off to my left and caught movement out of my right eye very close to me. He was standing about 30 yards from me staring at me. I was able to get my smoke pole up and on him without him seeing me and put a 260-grain PT Scorpion bullet right behind his shoulder. He ran about 70 yards and piled up. Blessed to be in the right spot at the right time.
