Hunt Story

Decided to go hunting on a crisp fall day. Got into and settled in the stand at 4:10 p.m. It was clear blue skies and very light wind. Around 4:55 p.m. I spotted a deer about 200 yards away drinking water out of the back of the pond. As soon as he lifted his head, I knew it was super wide. He walked back into the thicket without giving me a good shot. I was sitting there patient waiting to see what would happen next. About 10 minutes passed and I decided to hit the grunt call, when all of a sudden I saw a bush move and he picked his head up. He came running toward me stopping about 40 yards away giving me a great shot. He ran 30 yards and expired. All in all it was a great and blessed hunt. I had passed on this deer last year and had him on camera a lot this year.
