Hunt Story

Hunted till 11 a.m. An older buddy of mine texted me he had shot a doe so I came down and began slowly making my way back to ATV. As I came over the rise I saw the buck with his rear facing me. I stopped by a tree and looked through the scope. He was about 70 yards. I waited on him to turn broadside and when he did I shot. He turned and ran toward me crashing in a thicket. He ran about 20 yards. I retired in 2018 and bought this land. I have worked it with putting in access roads and trails, hinge cutting, supplemental feeding, strategic stand placement, and patterning the deer. It is a small piece of property but yields deer every year. This buck was one I had on camera along with about nine other different bucks. He is a good mountain deer. Really happy with my little mountain tract.
