Hunt Story
On November 15, I went out to the farm that morning to do a little work. When I got back to my office I realized that I had left my keys on the buggy at the farm. I texted my boss and told him that I had to run back to the farm and grab my keys. After talking with him he told me to take the rest of the day and go hunt on his farm. After arriving back it started to drizzle rain, so I decided to climb in a tower stand on the back side of the property in some planted pines that lead back into a creek bottom. After about 30 minutes of sitting in the stand I heard what I thought was some goats off in the distance. Then a small 4 point came running out chasing a doe. The young buck chased the does for about 10 minutes then ran off in the creek bottom. Then I hear what I thought was the goats, ended up being 2 does bleating getting chased by what I thought was a big 8-point. I then text my boss and told him big 8 maybe 10 just came out. With him saying shoot it, we may never see it again. I then lined up my shot with my Kimber 6.5 Creedmoor and placed a perfect shot at 5:15 p.m. I then discovered I only had 1 round with me in my gun. So I got done and found the deer about 30 yards from where I shot.
