Hunt Story
I got into the portable stand around 7:15 am. The wind started to pick up, and I stood up to put on my coat. When I sat back down and looked at the clearcut, I saw the buck hurrying up a small hill. He was quartering away from me and would soon be over the hill. I hollered at the buck, and he stopped and looked back in my direction. I was going to shoot him in the neck, but the way he was standing I had to sight in at the base of the neck. He went down immediately and kicked one time.
