It was a clear day and a few spikes came out first. A few does started to filter into the field and the spikes began to grunt and check the does. Then I heard a really deep grunt to my left and I saw the doe come out first and then right behind her was the this buck. He slowed down just enough for me to take the broadside shot. The deer turned and ran back into the woods and made it another 25 yards and I was able to recover him without any complications. Another great hunt for rut week... #2 tagged out.
