Hunt Story

I was hunting the edge of a clearcut, and I saw the sky turn overcast and I got a little excited. I had a nice buck come in at 5 and winded me. At 6:30 there was a opossum behind me making a lot of noise, so I checked to see where he was and at the same time there was a deer coming out of the clearcut. He stopped at 25 yards and made a scrape, and that allowed me to stand up and get ready. He started walking toward me, and I drew back and smoked him at 20 yards. He walked off another 30 yards and stopped. I watched him in my binoculars for about a minute just stand there and then he flopped over! Awesome sight to see him fall that close to me.
