Hunt Story
I decided to go hunting Saturday afternoon to really put out some corn check my camera and hang my stand for Sunday. I got in about 3;30 and the first deer sighting was around 5:00 when two nice 8-pointers came in and fed under me and the big 10 went to the creek. As I was watching the deer feed, I could see the big 10 on the creek. I watched him feed on a sand bar then bed down for about 20 minutes twice. Another 4-point came in with several does. The big 10 started up toward me and the other deer walked out. The big 10 came in and I made a bad shot quartering to me. I called my friend and when he showed up about an hour later we started tracking. Very little blood. However the big 10 stayed on a trail that ran beside the creek and we were able to find him about 300 yards away. Then the work began. It’s always great to have friends you can count on when you need help. It was a long night.
