Hunt Story

It started out when I turned the radio on and found out that Trump is the new President elect. I knew it was going to be a great day. I got in the box stand about 6:00 a.m. and watched the sun come up. It was a little breezy and overcast. I did not see the first deer till about 7, and they were three does in another food plot about 300 yards away. About 15 minutes later, three more does came out in my food plot and went to the other food plot were the other does were. Then about 15 minutes after that, three more does did the same thing. About 10 minutes later a buck went toward the food plot with all the does. Then 45 minutes later a doe came running from the lower food plot up through the food plot I was hunting, and 300 yards behind the doe the 9-pointer followed her trail to me. He was running around looking for her trail, and I made a loud grunt sound and he slammed on the brakes and the 30-06 dropped him. I waited about 15 minutes and climbed down the stand and looked up and another buck was running up where the doe went. I was able to take my phone and video that buck trailing her trail. It was an exciting morning after seeing a total of 18 deer by 10:00.
