Hunt Story
After the recent rain, I was able to quietly reach the stand. The food plot was improved since the rain and had shown some signs of heavier deer activity. I had noticed three approximately 6- to 8-inch trees with fresh rubs within a 100-yard area and concentrated my hunts in this area. The north wind was perfect and the buck walked within 10 yards of my stand without noticing me. I had to wait for him to walk approximately 40 yards away before my shot.
