Hunt Story
The story started back during the summer. This buck was a regular in our soybean field. We named him Highside. I knew that would be the one I would be after for my first buck. My husband and I had seen him on several occasions and could never close the deal. On the evening of November 17th my husband was working late but he kept telling me to go get in the shooting house because they are moving. Less than five minutes in the shooting house, Highside steps out at 125 yards broadside. I dropped him with one shot from my 6mm Remington. I called my husband excited and shaking from the adrenaline rush and said “I got him”. My husband Kevin was home within 20 minutes. What a rush. I finally got my first buck.
