Hunt Story
This buck was shot from a box stand with my daughter, Annie, who is 12. While she has sat in the stand with me many times, this was the first time she was doing the actual hunting. A slow evening of hunting quickly turned into an action-packed evening. We saw our first deer, a doe, run by followed by a yearling. After watching the yearling for about 15 minutes, the buck came out and started to chase the yearling. The buck stopped, stood broadside and Annie took aim. She hit it perfectly on the shoulder, it ran 25 yards and then dropped.
