Hunt Story
I had numerous pictures of this buck, but they were all at night. About a week prior to taking the buck I finally got a daytime pic of him. I knew then it was time to get after him. I rushed home from work that day and hurried to my stand overlooking a food plot near where I got the pic of him. I got on stand at 4 p.m. At 4:15 I grunted a couple of times and out came a nice 7-point. He began eating in plot. At 4:30 I grunted again, and he began walking toward me. He was at about 100 yards when he stopped and looked into a thicket beside the food plot. After a few minutes of looking in thicket the big 10-point walked out right where the 7-point was looking. He was broadside at 100 yards. I shot and he dropped. This is my biggest GA deer and to take it in Gordon County where I was born and raised is special. I been hunting this property for 17 years and this is the biggest buck we have taken on it.
