I decided to go out the day after Thanksgiving a little earlier in the afternoon around 3:30 to see if I could get a nice doe. I didn't think there was gonna be any action because it was sunny and very warm for deer. Most of my deer are extremely active when it's very cold. About 4:45 I had a whole herd of 10 doe come out in my hayfield to eat. I was zooming in on the biggest one and preparing to take as many as I could shoot then all of a sudden they ran off and I couldn't believe it. I searched and searched for them with my binoculars and all of a sudden I saw what chased them off. A 10-point buck was going after them. He was 300 yards from me and moving pretty good. I wasn't gonna let him go. I made my shot and dropped him immediately. Good early hunt for a warmer day
