Hunt Story
After hunting Meatloaf pretty hard last season and none of us laying eyes on him before he showed up on camera with a busted-up rack in mid-November. We agreed to back off and let him walk another year to make it to 6.5 years old - which is what we felt like he was this season. With the 2023 rut seemingly winding down and he and Walker growing weary of pursuing him throughout this season, Jeremy suggested I shift my focus back to Meatloaf and give sitting for him a shot. Glad I listened and gave my target buck a rest as well as got the right wind for the stand I had in mind. Mama is now tagged out with 290-300 inches in the taxidermist's hands and I get to sleep in for the rest of season!
