Hunt Story
White oak acorns finally started dropping at this spot and had trail camera picks of him within 24 hours prior to the hunt. Four does were feeding on acorns for 30-45 minutes. Just as light was fading all four does, like good little hunting assistants, alerted at the same time and stared in his direction. He then let out a nasty, deep grunt and all but one doe scattered. After grunting back at him he finally eased out of the thick clear cut and showed me his shoulder. Dropped in his tracks.
