Hunt Story

When we first got to our hunting destination (hoping to shot our target buck Dan), we didn't see anything for awhile. Around 7 o'clock my dad spotted a small buck to our right. The small buck never came to the acorn tree. Not long after that a spike walked through a little clearing from our right in the woods. Too far for shot range for a crossbow though. Dan was soon to follow the spike, and a doe soon followed Dan. None of them stopped for even a second. They all went into the woods to our left and started blowing. We automatically thought the hunt was over. About five minutes later Dan walked in from in front of us straight to the corn pile. He took awhile to turn broadside but when he did I shot I shot a little high, but we were still able to recover Dan late that night/early that morning around 1ish, with help from Brandon Hightower and his dog Bo. Dan had ran 150 yards, through the woods slightly to our left.
