Hunt Story

I was hunting a shooting house because it was nasty and rainy. I saw a small 6-point around 7:45 am and watched him feed around. A little after 8:00, I saw a shooter buck slipping through some thick cover. I picked a small hole about the size of a pie plate, and I prayed he would walk by it. As soon as he stepped across it, I had the perfect shot and I squeezed off. I hit him perfectly in the front shoulder from about 120 yards away. We had gotten 5 inches of rain the night before, so when I saw him kick and run a few yards, I saw a big splash. He only ran about 20 yards. When I got down and saw it was a 12-point, I was so happy as this is the first 12 I've ever shot.
