Hunt Story

My stand was set up on the edge of a food plot near a bedding area. At 5:30 some does eased out of the gallberry thicket. A minute or two later I heard a soft grunt and I saw this deer standing at about 70 yards in the direction the does had come from. He was looking my direction and after maybe two minutes he turned his head and gave me a chance to grab my rifle. When I shot, it looked like he was hit hard but I couldn't find any sign of a hit. I decided to let him lay overnight and we found him shortly after daylight on a short track with the help of Mr. Randy Vick and his dog Reba.
