Hunt Story
I was hunting out of town this past Saturday and while in the stand I got a pic of this buck on a cell cam at 8:30 a.m. back home. I finished my hunt then packed up and headed south to hunt him. I took my climber and hung on a tree close to where I figured he was bedded. At 6:45 that afternoon I heard what I thought was horns rubbing a tree. I grunted at him and then heard him start making a scrape. He was in a thicket, so it took me a second to find him in my binos. When I saw the split G2 I knew it was him. I tried with no luck to grunt him into bow range. When I realized he wasn't coming I grabbed my rifle and made the 75-yard shot. I found him a short time later after about a 75-yard blood trail. To say I'm a blessed deer hunter is an understatement!
