Hunt Story
Decided to run out to the farm for a quick hunt after work. Got in stand at 5:15. Rattled at 5:45 and saw this buck ease into the peanut field a couple hundred yards away. Had my wife's youth model 243 so I waited for him to get a little closer. When he turned to head back in the woods, I hollered to stop him and squeezed the trigger. Heard the bullet hit him, so I got down to look for blood before the storms moved in. Found hair but no blood, so me and a buddy walked into where he ran to look for him. After a few minutes I was getting nervous, but I finally smelled him. Walked about 10 more yards and there he lay. He turned out to be much bigger than I first thought.
