Hunt Story
Saw this deer on Saturday morning chasing a doe. All I had was my bow, and he was 150 yards away. Hunted him again Sunday morning with no luck. Decided to take my rifle Sunday afternoon and sit in a ground blind to get out of the rain. At 4:45, I looked up after sending a text and he was standing at 80 yards looking away from me. As soon as he turned his head, and I saw the points on his bases. I squeezed the trigger and he dropped in his tracks. After looking back, I had an encounter with this deer last year on November 1. He was at 50 yards, and I thought he was coming closer to give me an easier bow shot, but he spooked before I could get a shot off. Glad he got away for another year!
